ClarifyDocuments Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy

ClarifyDocuments (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. This policy outlines ownership, licensing, infringement procedures, and user responsibilities.

1. Ownership of Platform Content

  • All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, software, AI-generated outputs, and documentation, is owned by ClarifyDocuments or licensed to us.
  • Users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of Platform content without explicit permission.

2. User-Generated Content

By uploading content to ClarifyDocuments:

  • You retain ownership of your content.
  • You grant ClarifyDocuments a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and process your content solely to provide and improve ClarifyDocuments features for you, including AI processing.
  • We use the OpenAI API under a paid plan. Your content is processed only to deliver features and is not used to train or improve OpenAI’s models. See the AI Transparency Statement.

3. DMCA Takedown Procedure

If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, submit a DMCA takedown notice via a support ticket at our Support Page including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work.
  • Description of the infringing content.
  • Your contact information.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate.
  • Your electronic signature.

We will respond promptly and may remove infringing content.

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe content was removed erroneously, you may submit a counter-notification via a support ticket at our Support Page including:

  • Identification of the removed content.
  • Statement under penalty of perjury of good-faith belief that the content was removed in error.
  • Your contact information and electronic signature.

We will review and may restore content as appropriate under law.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

  • Accounts repeatedly infringing intellectual property rights may be suspended or terminated.
  • ClarifyDocuments reserves the right to remove or restrict content at any time for infringement or suspected infringement.

6. Updates to Policy

  • This policy may be updated at any time.
  • Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updates.
