1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ClarifyDocuments (“the Platform”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions, including any future updates. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

2. Account Registration

  • Users must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Any activity under your account is your responsibility.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account by creating a support ticket at our Support Page.

3. Acceptable Use

  • Users must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.
  • You may not use the Platform for illegal activities, infringing content, or to harm others.
  • AI-generated outputs should be verified; reliance on them is at your own risk.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

  • You retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the content you upload, as well as the AI-generated outputs produced for you.
  • By using ClarifyDocuments, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content and outputs solely for the purpose of operating and improving the service. We do not claim ownership of your content or outputs.

5. AI & Third‑Party Services

  • Some services utilize AI, including the OpenAI API.
  • We use the OpenAI API under a paid plan. Your uploaded documents and AI-generated content are not used to train or improve OpenAI’s models. Your data is processed only to provide the ClarifyDocuments service and is deleted within 30 days unless you choose to retain it longer.

6. Third‑Party Services

ClarifyDocuments relies on select third‑party providers to deliver certain features and processing activities necessary to operate the service.

7. User Content & Intellectual Property

  • You are solely responsible for the content you upload.
  • You must only upload materials you own or are authorized to use.
  • ClarifyDocuments does not permit content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
  • Any features that modify documents (e.g., cleaning, extracting text) must only be used on content you are legally allowed to process.

8. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or related policies.
  • Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred prior to termination.
  • Content uploaded may be retained as required by law or for business purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • The Platform is provided “as-is” and “as available.”
  • ClarifyDocuments is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including errors in AI outputs.
  • Users are solely responsible for the consequences of relying on AI-generated content.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ClarifyDocuments, its affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform.
  • Violation of these Terms or related policies.
  • Reliance on AI-generated content without verification.

11. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

  • Users should first attempt informal resolution by creating a support ticket at our Support Page.
  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy. You agree that any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy.

12. User Feedback

  • Users may provide feedback or report issues by creating a support ticket at our Support Page.
  • Feedback may be used to improve the Platform, and we will respond when possible.

13. Changes to Terms

  • ClarifyDocuments may update Terms at any time.
  • Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
